This question guides and accompanies us at the Freudenau cooperative. We strive for a new quality of life in harmony with people and nature.
Our model site development is intended to make regenerative and communal living tangible and inspire people to live together in a world that respects the needs of the future generations.
Cooperative Freudenau
Designed as a holistic mixed-use project with many facets, a unique meeting and experimental space is being created. The housing co-operative serves as the foundation with a range of catering, accommodation and cultural facilities on site.
At the centre of our work is the human need for social exchange and mutual support. The aim is to create a lively social and cultural diversity, based on multi-generational living. This promotes resilient networks of relationships that solve many of the social challenges of our fast-moving times. The result is an open playground whose infrastructure and guiding framework make it an ideal place for people who are interested in new living concepts and want to be an active part of positive social change.
Our cooperative emerged from the zukunft.bahnhof project and we are still part of this larger vision for the entire train station area.
Location
The site is located just a few meters from Lichtensteig railway station and is therefore easily accessible from St. Gallen and Zurich.
